A whole day and night of activities for the Freshers, where they get to know all the student organisations.

Our goal for this event is to highlight you and introduce the freshers to all the organisations. This is an opportunity for you to show the freshers who you are and gain new members. We want to help you shine and are here to guide you! 
 
You can sign up for the Festival HERE! before the 30th of June at the latest! 
 
Please note that you do not have to answer all questions immediately, you are only required to answer the ones marked 'required' to commit to the festival for now.(You can resubmit this survey at a later date, with more information, or change this answer at a later date, as long as this is before the 30th of June
 
 
We have looked at all your feedback and here is the new and improved event-plan: 
  
About the event 
  • Date & time: September 6th from 14:00 to 02:00 
    The event is in an open house style divided in two parts: ITU by day & ITU by night. 
  • You, the student organisations, will participate between 14:00 and 17:00  
  • Youโ€™re welcome before to setup beforehand so youโ€™re ready at 14.00 
  • The student organisations: You play the biggest role this day. You will arrange activities for the Freshers, so they can get to know all of you. 
  • Participants: The BSc & MSc Freshers, including the Head Tutors, Tutors, Buddies, Exchange Students, representatives from the labs and all the volunteers from the student organizations. 
  • Food & drinks: It will be possible to get water and buy drinks throughout the day in Analog & ScrollBar.  In the evening you will be able to buy dinner from provided Foodtrucks. The daily event is alcohol free. ScrollBar is open from 7 p.m. 
  • We will provide a sandwich (lunch) for all participants from the organisations, we will formally reach out for dietary restrictions and allergies 
  • Party: The day ends with a party, incl an artist and/or a DJ, where you are all invited to stay and participate. 
 
What is the motivation from ITU? 
Our main goal is to arrange an inclusive event where all the Freshers can get to know the student organisations and experience the great social environment at ITU.   
 
Students are happier and are more likely to make it through their studies in general if they experience a sense of belonging and have a social network from day one. 
 

What kind of activities? 
The different activities during the day are located around or at ITU. Each organisation have their own room/location where they can plan an activity. 
 
You are encouraged to arrange activities that represent you as an organisation. 
 
We will make a program and a navigational flyer so the Freshers are able to see when and where they can meet the different organisations. This is also why we need you to sign up and inform us of the activities you are planning. 
 
An activity could e.g. be: 
๐ŸŽต A concert or singalong together with Node 
๐ŸฅŽ Spikeball together with ITU Active 
๐Ÿงถ A cozy room where you can knit together with KnitIT 
 
You can be as creative as youโ€™d like, ITUโ€™s the limit! 
 

What is the budget? 
Each organisation has the possibility to get up to 2000kr for the activity you plan from the Study Start Budget.  
We will send out a document by June 1st with guidelines on what you can spend the money on and how you can apply for it. 
**Please donโ€™t spend any money without having approval**  
 
The organisations should use their own material to facilitate their own activities.

If you need help to facilitate your activity please inform us when you are signing up (in the form) with how many and what.
