eBooks
David S from Binghamton provided an explanation on how ebooks (both individual titles and packages ) are/can be managed in Alma/Primo.  David explained that it is possible to load ebook records as portfolios.  The PDA module can be used to manage sets of ebooks.  He demonstrated the varying levels of metadata in IZ vs. CZ records and noted that the Primo Central Index (PCI) activation may offer better metadata than expected from the view of the CZ record, depending on how much information is in the PCI.

Primo Configuration Form
The Project Managers would like the committee to make recommendations for Workbook #2.  This workbook concerns the customization and configuration of Primo.  The committee's recommendations will be used to create a default template for campuses on the guided path. The form is not due until mid-October but the committee should plan to have its recommendations drafted by late September.

Central Index: SUNY-wide set-up
The committee recommended that the SLC activate selected collections on behalf of all SUNY schools (e.g. SUNYConnect databases).  Campuses can chose to "opt out" of this service if they choose.  The committee should let Heidi know by September 10th if there are additional collections that SCL should activate.

PR document(s): status, possible outlets
Esta shared a updated draft of the "Save the Date" PR for Primo VE.  The committee agreed it was ready to be shared.  Michelle will send to the SUNYLA listserv on Monday and Heidi offered to post it in the Basecamp Institutional Leads area.

Usability Doc: status, next steps
Will discuss at next meeting.

Next meeting scheduled August 31st.
