Unit Standards / Rules and Regulations

Discipline Introduction

Discipline is a cornerstone value of Task Force Spartan. Our discipline is what sets us apart from other Units. It does not matter if you are the only member of TFS on a server; if you are wearing our uniform, you are representing Task Force Spartan, and you will adhere to our standards or lose the right to wear the uniform.

Training Discipline

  • Orders given by NCOs and Officers are NOT up for debate. When you are given an order, you are expected to comply with that order immediately. If you cannot execute an order, notify the NCO or Officer that issued the order. If you disagree with an order, you are still expected to comply. You can discuss the issue privately after dismissal.
  • When receiving instruction, stand still and face the instructor. Actions such as emotes, leaning, or running are prohibited during instruction. Serious or repeat offenses may result in dismissal for the evening.
  • Once training is completed and dismissed for the evening, promptly leave the server.

Firing Discipline

  • Clear all engagements with your Squad Leader before firing, throwing a grenade, or any other form of engagement. Knowing when to hold fire is as important as knowing when to engage.

Security Discipline

  • When holding security, you may be assigned a sector of fire. Ensure that sector is always covered until told otherwise. Do not look in other directions—maintain focus on your assigned area and trust your teammates to do the same.

Chain of Command

The Chain of Command is to be followed at all times. When addressing a problem or issue, contact your immediate superior first.

Customs and Courtesies

  • Never criticize the Unit or a leader in public.
  • In both text and vocal communication, reply informally with “Affirm / Copy / Yes Sir / Heard.”
  • Address higher ranks with a polite “Sir” until you learn the proper rank.
  • Show respect in all conversations while wearing the TFS uniform. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc., are NOT tolerated under any circumstances.
  • Intentional team killing is strictly prohibited.

Attendance Policy

  • Members are expected to attend at least two training days per week (Monday–Saturday, 19:30 EST).
  • Failure to meet this minimum by the Campaign Op (Sunday) will disqualify you from participation for that week.
  • Training is posted daily; check and confirm attendance, even if you cannot attend.

Status Options

  • Active Duty: Expected to meet weekly attendance.
  • Leave of Absence (LOA): Request for absences up to three weeks.
  • Reserves: Request for absences longer than three weeks.

Note: LOA/Reserves are not an excuse to ignore your TFS commitment or play other games.

In-Game Courtesies

  • Notify a superior if you must leave before dismissal.
  • Assume a crouched position to indicate AFK status.
  • Use “PTS [Your Name]” (permission to speak) during in-game instruction for questions or comments.

Discord Channels

  • Unit Announcements: Check training/operation schedules and confirm attendance.
  • Infantry Attendance: Post if you expect to be late.
  • Moshpit: General chat. No GIFs, memes, or media.
  • TFS Memes: Appropriate memes, not limited to Arma-related content.
  • TFS Media: Post videos, photos, or links to streaming platforms.
  • Standards Enforcement: Maintain standards in all public and private chats.

Note: All channels are monitored by NCOs.

Disciplinary Actions

Repeat offenses of any kind may result in disciplinary actions, up to and including:

  • A meeting with Command.
  • Dismissal from the Unit.

(Operates on a three-strike rule for most issues.)
