4.06 - Education Committee
This was an extremely productive meeting with follow-up.
4 members showed up.
We are actively looking for folks who can fill workshop dates for the AIBD conferences and for the Tuesday at 2 and the Thursday at 3.
We went over the schedule for the Asheville conference to see how we can fill the sessions. We decided that David Druzel would be the first session on Friday, after the lunch and learn. That left Saturday open.
We left the meeting with very specific to-do lists for each member.
Jeff would contact his copyright attorney to see if he could do a lunch and learn. (This has been completed, his attorney has agreed to come for free.)
Joey would solidify Chief Architects involvement for the Tuesday/Thursday classes. This has been completed.
Kim would contact several companies regarding speaking at Asheville. This has been completed, with at least 2 companies interested.
Dennis would contact several companies regarding Asheville and the Tuesday/Thursday sessions. This has been and is continuing as companies respond.
We are also awaiting responses from a few companies that we spoke to in regards to speaking on August 2nd.
Steve was going to email 2 separate companies regarding their participation in Asheville, as well.
I placed a post calling designers to sign up for the Tuesday/Thursday sessions and have sent the sign-up link to several to reach out. I am currently in contact with an Architecture firm that is interested in both Asheville and the weekly sessions.
Our next meeting and last meeting for this fiscal year is Tuesday, June 10th. I hope that all of the members of the committee can show up for that meeting.
