Asheville Challenge Update
Larry Walker's challenge is stuck at $4950.
Our Current Financial Position
As of the end of November, AIBD's cash on hand, including untransferred credit card charges, stood at $3917. This is $13,500 lower than the average bank balance over the past three years.
2024 = $15,218
2023 = $22,804
2022 = $14,029
When payroll was deducted on November 28, AIBD was $400 overdrawn. Working to make payroll twice a month is taking up a huge part of my schedule and my energy.

Income and expense summary:
Looking at our financial picture on a cash basis over the past four years:
December 1st has passed, and we were not financially in a position to renew the bulk of our association's insurance.
Our general liability insurance is active until the end of the year and is typically charged monthly.
On November 16, we made a $4,000 payment toward the VISA statement. This amount was $1,000 less than reported at our last meeting and fell short of our original $10,000 goal by $6,000.
The VISA is used to pay nearly all of our day-to-day expenses (e.g., office expenses). I am hopeful we can at least pay this month's current charges of $6,765.11. However, very few, if any, other past-due bills will be brought up to date.
The total VISA debt, as of the most recent statement, is $31,118.60. In addition to the typical office expenses that are charged, the NAHB Leading Suppliers' Council dues of $ 7,500 will be charged this cycle (payment due on 1/16/26), and our NAHB Associate Membership dues of $785 will be included in the January cycle (due 2/16/2026)
