Quick and Dirty DPA/Catalog ABO Campaign

Step 1: Create a New Campaign

  • Go to Meta Ads Manager → Click Create
  • Select Sales as your objective
  • Choose Catalog Sales

Step 2: Set Up Campaign Settings

  • Advantage+ Catalog AdsON
  • Select Your Product Catalog (e.g., Shopify Product Catalog)
  • Advantage Campaign Budget → OFF
  • A/B Test → OFF (unless actively testing)

Step 3: Ad Set Configuration (Original Audience Only)

  • Ad Set Name → (e.g., US Broad - Original Audience)
  • Performance GoalMaximize Number of Conversions
  • Conversion EventPurchase
  • Attribution Setting1-day Click & 1-day View

Step 4: Create the Ads

  • Ad Formats → Choose Single Image, Carousel, or Slideshow
  • Creative Source → Dynamic (Pull product images from catalog)
  • Primary Text → Use 3:2:2 GPT for copy 
  • Headline → Simple & clear (e.g., "Selling Fast – Order Now!") or Product Name
  • CTA → “Shop Now”

Step 6: Launch & Optimize

  • Review everything
  • Click Publish


Be careful with cluttering your ad sets or adding too much fluff. The longer you run the campaign the more engagement it will accumulate. By keeping this in its own campaign you allow the algorithm to collect more data.
