Collection 'Challenges': Recommended Procedure and Form

In the January 2024 meeting of the Council of Library Directors, the council endorsed a:
form/process for responding to challenges to collections (attached)
suggested language to incorporate into your collection development policy: The library provides a reconsideration process outlined in a separate document for challenged materials for removal from the [CSCU LIBRARY] collection. This process ensures a thoughtful evaluation of materials while respecting intellectual freedom and diverse perspectives.
The council's endorsement does not place any obligation on consortium member libraries. Member libraries have discretion about whether/how to use the procedure and form.
