Primo Speed/Response Issues
We have been collecting scenarios and screen capture recordings.   Since last meeting, Shannon has been working with ExL and they have some enhancements that they will be releasing in 5 campuses for testing near the end of the month. More details will be forthcoming.

Availability Status
Discussion about what we’re all doing to address “availability” confusion in Primo. UB changed wording to “check for availability,” Optometry & GCC changed it to “get it.”  The group is on the fence about recommending wording for SUNY since it seems like a local decision.

Recommendation to inherit from Central Package
Make this a recommendation?  Yes, we can add this to our recommendation about hiding “other library” on Resource Sharing request form.

GETIT Other wording
Do we want to recommend wording?  Still in discussion. Discussion about best way to PR our recommendations: will post on SUNYLA list (need to decide on timing).

Marketing
Are we interested in creating any marketing material?  How does this relate to what other groups may (or may not be doing). We agreed to let Logan’s marketing team handle this.

Usability
Jill and others reported on what they are doing with regard to making improvements to Primo at their own institutions. Discussion about subject browse issue where number of items listed for a subject heading doesn’t match number of results when you click on the subject. Michelle suggested changing warning from wording about some results not showing to “Note: the number of browse search results may not match the number of items in the results list.” Also talked about EBSCO API, newspaper search, and whether or not to use personalization. The group agreed that it was interesting to learn from Lynn that personalization doesn’t change your search results, it just changes which results come to the top based on your predefined interests.

We agreed that Lynn’s two recent presentations were excellent and that we should turn the content into FAQs.
