Travel Oregon food systems & culinary tourism event sponsorships now available!
In our efforts to help elevate Oregon’s culinary tourism and the local food systems that fuel it, we are looking to sponsor events taking place over the next 14 months that celebrate and strengthen this crucial intersection of tourism and local food and drink. Please review the funding details and eligibility guidelines below prior to submitting a request for sponsorship.
Funding Details#
- Events must take place by June 30, 2027.
- This round of funding is available through April 2027, or until funds run out. Sponsorships will be awarded on a rolling basis. Resources are limited, so event organizers are encouraged not to delay submitting a request for support.
- Sponsorship awards will be in the range of $1,000 - $10,000. Requests over $10,000 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Sponsorship requests may receive partial awards based on alignment with program objectives and goals and available funds.
- Organizations that produce multiple qualifying events are encouraged to seek sponsorship of their most impactful event, but requests for support of multiple events will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Eligibility Guidelines #
I. Events must fall under one or more of the following categories:
- Consumer-facing event or activation that celebrates and elevates local food, beverage, seafood or agricultural commodities (cannot benefit a singular business)
- Industry/B2B event or activation that connects local producers to chefs and buyers from tourism businesses (restaurants, hotels, etc.)
- Industry event that provides training or education for agritourism operators
II. Priority will be given to applicants who show how their event or activity will deliver a remarkable experience, is respectful of the natural environment, and will meet one or more of the following outcomes:
- Sponsored event / activity could result in an increase of foot traffic, overnight lodging stays, and/or attendee travel of 50+ miles
- Sponsored event / activity would support tourism in Portland, Oregon
- Sponsored event / activity would elevate voices of underserved communities
III. Priority will be given to requests from organizations that have participated in the Food Systems & Tourism Learning Community and for events that have secured support from their Regional Destination Management Organization (RDMO).
IV. The focus of this program is to support events and activities that take place in Oregon. However, out of state activities and events may be considered if they illustrate significant outcomes beneficial to Oregon tourism.
Sponsorship Process#
- Use the Sponsorship Intake form to submit a request for sponsorship.
- Travel Oregon will review and be in contact with requesting organization within two weeks of receiving the request.
- Additional information may be requested of event organizers awarded a sponsorship to facilitate the creation of a sponsorship agreement.
- Final sponsorship agreement will be sent for e-signature.
- After agreement is finalized, organization may invoice Travel Oregon for sponsorship amount.
- Travel Oregon logo and style guide will be provided. Any logo placements should be sent to Travel Oregon for approval.
