4.14 College of Fellows
There will be five new inductees at the Saturday night GALA in Asheville. They are: Tracy Kelly, Yu-Ngok-Lo, Kimberly Mockert, Hugh Sprague, and Larry Walker. Welcome and congratulations to all of them.
Alan Abrams, Sam Liberti, Bernie Kern and I have been working on revising the documents that inform how the College works. The by-laws, college policies and procedures, nomination form to the college, and list of requisites for nomination have been in discrepancy, and therefore we have undertaken the process of revising those documents. Our suggested revisions will be presented to the college membership at the upcoming college meeting in Asheville. If approved, they will implemented for the next physical year 2025-2026.
If approved, three important changes will be made: 1. Only professional members who are certified by NCBDC will be allowed to nominate other professional members who are certified. 2. It shall be the responsibility of the person nominating to insure that all required documentation is provided upon nomination. 3. Firm deadlines for nomination, submission of documentation, and jury approval will be established, to allow increased time for new inductees to make arrangements to attend the formal induction at the annual conference gala awards ceremony.
