Merit Badge Test Lab

Significant number of updates on 1/1/26.  You can go to scouting.org/skills/merit badges to check to see what badges have changed and the significant number for each.  There is also a Test Lab that have badges that they are testing with the scouts that would like to check them out.  Any leader can work with the scouts on these badges.  If a scout works on the badge and completes it and then the badge becomes active, the scout will get credit for completing the badge.

Since the work books are not being printed any longer you can also print the requirements from this section too.  They are looking to have at least 50 badges listed here that you can digitally print.

If a scout has already started working on a badge they can continue to finish it under the previous requirements or they can elect to go to the new ones and finish the badge with the current requirements.  They can’t go back and forth, they need to decide and stick to their decision.  Scoutbook has the previous requirements for the badge that they started.
