The SkillsUSA national competition is this month (June 23-27).
The design program has been determined. The students will be asked to create an abbreviated set of working drawings from a hand-sketched preliminary layout (Floor Plan, Exterior Elevations, Roof Plan, Building Section, and one Hand Sketch).
We need judges (Brandon Clokey has volunteered). An email will go out later this week. This board has the opportunity to volunteer today. :-)
Judging needs:
(1) Judge on-site to handle the hand sketch and lettering portion of the contest.
Plus, (6) to (10) virtual judges.
Of course, we will not turn away anyone if we receive more than 10. It only means the work gets done faster.
The judging will take place between 4:00 and 8:00 pm ET.
We also require approximately $ 2,500 to fund the program. Along with the invitation to judge, a donation link will be set up.
The winners will receive their medals on Friday evening (June 27), and a link to view all of the projects will be included in the Monday Minute on June 30.
