The Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC) provides valuable feedback to HWH governing bodies about the quality of care and services delivered. This focuses on a person-centred culture that is committed to quality services.

The Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC) provides valuable feedback to HWH governing bodies about the quality of care and services delivered. This focuses on a person-centred culture that is committed to quality services.
Objective
The CAC meets annually to oversee and ensure the quality of clinical care that upholds the rights and principles of the individual and supports independence, autonomy, and empowering freedom of choice.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Meeting members include:
- Reviewing HWH's suite of service quality indicators against which the service can be and is continually evaluated
- Discussing the results of any reviews of the service that have been undertaken and providing advice as appropriate on improvement and/or mitigation strategies.
- Communicating about policies, guidelines and protocols for development and review.
- Reviewing quality documentation and plans to identify issues for the service improvement work plan and priorities for action.

- Clients & their representatives
- Clinical Care Director
- Principals
Other personnel as are required from time to time.
Reporting
- Minutes arising from the meeting and associated reports attached to the minutes are available to all HWH attendees in the related event in the Quality Central Schedule.
- Written minutes will be distributed to the clients & their representatives in attendance.
- The Clinical Care Director aggregates the papers and takes the minutes
Secretariat and meeting arrangements
- The Clinical Care Director will chair the CAC
- Annually.
- Duration approx 2 hours.

Evaluation
While the CAC meeting evolves to meet the business's needs, a formal review of its Terms of Reference and effectiveness to ensure it is fit for purpose will be undertaken annually.
