Minutes 6/28/2019
Update on membership:
- Nancy Babb will be new co-chair
- Michelle will be liaison to SLC/SUNY unless we hear otherwise
- Erin S leaving and Heidi taking her place
- Agreed to target community college for replacement for Michelle
CDI Initiative and Task Force
- Nancy and Rebecca have volunteered to represent DWG
- CDI functionality is still in development but has exciting potential for streamlining database activation and PCI activation
Training consultant - suggestions/ideas for group?
- Nancy’s hoping for best practices
- We’d like training content to be easier to search and better organized (already on consultant’s radar)
- Consultant will also be tasked with creating documentation for areas where we may need more information
- Alma isn’t new to this person
Speed testing update
- Seems faster for most places who are live, though UPS is having trouble with sections of full record load time and OpenURL linking
- We’ll continue to hold Ex Libris accountable
SUNY scope update
- Fix seems to have worked from limited testing the group has done
- Discussion about LibGuides showing up in older version of the SUNY Catalog
Feedback from campuses that are live?
Things seem to be going ok
Erin S noted that Films on Demand is/are now in the CZ and PCI and can be activated without the portfolio loader
Erin R talked about odd facet behavior where it reverts back to previous search, let her know if you see similar problems
Nancy asked for tips on testing Primo before accepting it:
- Discussion about e-resource issues
- DOIs can be problematic – use Heidi’s info from FAQ to configure
- Check General Electronic Services
- If you know you’ll need Alma e-Resource clean-up can focus on Primo framework and accept Primo before all data is cleaned up (data and Primo config are separate issues)
