The dates for this year's competition have been moved up from the last week of June to the first, due ot the international soccer matches being held in Atlanta.

As a result, I'm on schedule for a normal year, but a good two weeks behind in getting started on this year's competition planning.

I'm in need of two key volunteer positions to fill:
  • Our lead judge (virtual) has resigned.
    • In addition to judging, this person helps orient and organize the virtual judges from the close of the competition through the start of project file uploads in Basecamp. As well as judging themselves, once we get started.
  • So has my long-time right-hand man, Dave Encenrode, a designer from PA.
    • Dave used to help set up on Monday, assist with organizing the students during orientation, and set up on Tuesday and Wednesday.
    • Most importantly, Dave would be the person to accept, review, and upload the student projects, while I was getting the on-site and virtual judges started.
In addition, we seek a couple of other on-site volunteers to proctor and judge (Thursday). Virtual judges (Thursday). And donors to help defray the $2500 cost of hosting the competition.

The schedule:
June 1 - Competition Setup
June 2 - Orientation and Student Setup
June 3 - Written Test and PDF Export Verification
June 4 - Main Competition and Judging
June 5 - Debriefing Meeting and Awards
