Subject: Onward

In the immortal words of Winnie the Pooh: “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

By now, you will have heard that I will be leaving First and Kids to take up a new position in IML / Exams Andalucia. There will be no goodbyes so let me use this moment simply to say thank you.

Thank you for the allowing me the immense honor of serving First and leading this exceptional team for the past seven years.

We have achieved some incredible things in that time and succeeded in ways that many thought would not be possible. Through our focus in learning and certification we shifted a niche market that was unprofessional and lagging, to one that is focused, strengthened and foremost highly professional.

Thank you for your dedication, your intensity and your commitment to our vision that has transformed us into a winning team. Always moving from Good to Great.

Because of you we outperformed every single Preparation Centre.

We delivered best-in-class service ahead of any other known similar business in such a short lapse of time. We went from 20 students to over 1000 in just 7 seven years. We created 5 different departments and have had an intense impact in countless students. We stablished the first Cambridge Computer Based Venue in Motril, among many other milestones.

We spread a culture that allowed our students and teachers to stand tall and be proud of the work we were doing.

I am delighted that Elena in First and Santiago in Kids will now lead their teams individually. They will serve, as they have done in their current roles, with great distinction and I wish them well – and good luck! although they do not need it.

Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes, but still this moment is bittersweet. 

and it has been a tremendous experience working with you all.
