Hello!
I'm selling my beloved DE1PRO v1.45 because I've cut down my latte consumption to just a few times a month (mostly do black coffee from an aeropress 10 min steep in the mornings) and think this wonderful device deserves to go to someone who will treasure and use it. It's gone above and beyond my expectations and made me even more of a coffee snob. I just can't do the coffee shops that don't make top-tier lattes anymore because it hurts to pay for something that I can do better at home. This machine is for coffee drinkers who want to make consistent, high-quality espresso at home.
There are many less expensive machines that you could purchase if you want to work harder for less consistent, worse espresso, with longer heat-up times but that is not why you're here. I recommend this machine to anyone who appreciates technology, consistency, and convenience. This machine not only helps you get good at espresso quickly (it was my first machine) but also maximizes your "God shot" hit rate. Think of that time you had a latte that was so good you got a dopamine high drinking it and savored every last drop. Imagine having that most mornings in your home with no fuss.
Now if you'd like a first-hand account of what exactly makes it so good beyond getting to enjoy the tasting notes on the bag. You're easily able to enter your bean weight from the lunar scale automatically with one button with preset temperature, shot profile, and desired weight output preset. The machine automatically stops the shot using the Lunar scale. You still have to get the bean weight and grind size right but the machine even has adaptive profiles that can rescue even the first dial-in shot. All of this data is automatically logged and uploaded to the cloud (visualizer.coffee) along with the grind setting and any other shot description you've entered. Makes it really easy to get excellent shots even when you're switching between different beans.
