To improve magazine content, I suggest we ask each chapter for submissions. This could include stories, designs, philosophies, or even comics from members. By involving the chapters directly, it becomes a community effort and a targeted goal, likely increasing participation. We would need a simple form to handle rights for any submitted content.

I responded to this weeks ago and noted that I did get all of my CE credits via last summer’s conference. I realize I didn’t fill out some silly little form or something, but this is nuts to suspend my certification when you know I met the requirements.

I enjoyed your Meander this midweek! Wall bracing is a big part of my design practice. As you recommended, I incorporated it into my own designs. I also perform wall bracing calculations and designs for some local designers. But, useful as it is, I don’t use the APA calculator. I developed my own system using my 15 years of experience as a municipal plans reviewer. I find it to be more flexible and clear, and it’s been well received by both plan reviewers and builders. I don’t know if it would be useful to other AIBD members, but I would be happy to share if you’re interested.
