Although our membership numbers are down 228 year-over-year, we've only down 8 from last month.
The large attrition numbers related to the 300+ complimentary first year memberships awarded 14 to 26 months ago are now a thing of the past.
Retention as at 81% and it's our goal to keep it there, or higher, over the next six months.
A new resource, Basic Engineering Computations for Designers and Builders has been commissioned. The book is based on the former NCBDC Structural Study Guide, and a pre-recorded webinar of the same title. The book and the webinar will be the reward for signing up, or referring a new member, during a week-long membership drive.
The book is approximately 75% complete. Depending on how long it takes for the technical advisors to review and comment on the book's content, we are hopefull for a late February or early March drive.
After the membership drive, the resources will be availalbe on Amazon in Kindle or Paperback. There will be a link in the book to the webinar.
If anyone has any other ideas of enticing rewards we can offer (other than reduction of membership fee) as a part of a membership drive, please let us know.
For the past two months, an email blast has been going out to our most recent new contacts (the past 60 days) on the first business day of the month. The email points out the advantage of signing up at the beginning of a month, and receiving a 13th month free by virtue of the way our membership roster sets the expiration date (the last day of the month you join).
The above effort has resulted in at least three new members, one in December, and two in January, so far.
In discussing the process with Garrett, it's possible we have new contacts we are not reaching. We will continue sending the invites each month and fine tuning the process.
