copy of one email that was sent.*

Hello!! Just ten days until our first one-day session!

We are so glad you will be joining us for Scout Leader Position Specific
Training and IOLS/BALOO in Patuxent District. There is A LOT of info in
this email - Please review it carefully.

*Health and Wellness *- The safety of the participants and staff is very
important to us, so we will do our best to mitigate potential exposure, but
if you are a high risk individual, or have concerns about exposure - Please
contact the staff to discuss your options.

In order to comply with local mandates - Masks are required to be worn
inside buildings during the course, and at any other times when social
distancing can not be maintained. We’ll be trying our best to space
everyone out and we will have soap and water, hand sanitizer, and cleaning
wipes throughout the camp. If you’d like to see our COVID mitigation
measures - Please just ask.

You must complete the screening form
<https://public.3.basecamp.com/p/d5AZBNDaKBs2taBK16Rep3Yb>at this link -
https://public.3.basecamp.com/p/d5AZBNDaKBs2taBK16Rep3Yb. Please DO NOT
COME TO THE COURSE if form
<https://public.3.basecamp.com/p/d5AZBNDaKBs2taBK16Rep3Yb>directs you not
to. Bring the completed sheet with you and anticipate a temperature check
when we collect your Medical A&B Forms and COVID Screening. Once you depart
- We request you monitor your own health and should you end up sick -
Notify the course staff.

*Training *- You have the opportunity to complete Scoutmaster Position
Specific Training (SMF), Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills(IOLS), and
Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) courses, all included in the
registration fee you have paid already. It is highly recommended that every
participant complete all three courses. It helps Cub Leaders transition to
Scouts BSA and provides Scouts BSA leaders with understanding of Cub
Camping differences.

To complete BALOO - Please complete the online module here:
https://training.scouting.org/login?rs=/home and plan to attend the
overnight session on Mar 19th-20th (More details on the overnight in
another email.) It is HIGHLY recommended to attend one of the one-day
sessions (19Feb or 26Feb) to best reinforce all the learning objectives.

To complete SMF and IOLS - Attend either the 19Feb or 26Feb one-day course
and the overnight session on Mar 19th-20th.

*Gear *- Please bring a pen/pencil, notebook or paper, a reusable water
bottle, and dress to be both indoors and outside. Feel free to bring a camp
chair, if you’d like. Equipment lists for the overnight will be sent at a
later date.

*Food *- Food is part of the course cost, so if you have any dietary needs
- Please let the staff know ASAP, so we can account for those.

I hope this email clarified our plan and answered any questions you may
have. If it doesn’t - Please reach out to me at Mark.D.Bruno@gmail.com
