Education Committee Report - 4.06
As we end this first year of the committee, I am happy to report that we have had a great year.
It started off a little slow, as we were trying to understand what it is we needed to focus on and get done. As the Chairperson for this committee, it has been an adventure learning what needs done and how to do it. I look forward to take this information and new skillset into next year.
This year we helped create the schedule for the Myrtle Beach and the Asheville conferences. This is our largest success, as we were figuring out how we could best help the AIBD membership. We helped create the sessions for Myrtle Beach and actively helped to find speakers for the Asheville conference. This has helped us to have a procedure going forth.
We have been trying to locate speakers for the Tuesday at 2 webinars and will be working on that to start out the new year. We will be actively searching and sending out emails/communications throughout the year.
We are working with the conference committee and membership committees to ensure that we are finding speakers quickly and that we are able to put together program ideas for our members.
We are ready to start working with the ARDA committee on a project that was talked about between us last year.
Our committee members have been very active in searching out speakers, specifically for Asheville. We are finally getting some things worked out that will enable us to be more efficient beginning next year.
We are looking for new members who can commit to our once a month meetings.
We will be working on Goals for our July meeting and trying to finish any unresolved issues we may have for this year.
