We are also working on renewing our SUNY JSTOR contract (which expires June 2024) and that will also provide pricing 01:19:21 Esta Tovstiadi: Matt - this depends on your Procurement Office. Technically the contract will lapse at the EOB tomorrow. OGS hopes to have the new contract in place within a few weeks. 01:19:55 Matt Gallagher: I'm very confused as to how this is dependent on local Procurement Offices 01:20:02 Michelle Eichelberger: https://slcny.libguides.com/rdm 01:20:53 Matt Gallagher: don't those licenses/awards apply to all SUNYs? how can local procurement offices choose to interpret them differently? 01:20:54 Susan Bartl: Matt, I think your procurement office could have created a blanket PO (maybe not the exact term) with GOBI for example that you can keep ordering against. 01:21:36 Susan Bartl: Oh Matt, you don't even want to go there. It has been that way in SUNY since ancient times. 01:22:14 Michelle Eichelberger: https://www.ala.org/acrl/conferences/roadshows/rdmroadshow 01:23:45 Susan Bartl: I am laughing through gritted teeth..... 01:23:54 Esta Tovstiadi: Unfortunately I don't have a better answer than Susan 01:26:25 Matt Smith/ESF/UUP/He/Him: This is not the first time this has happened. Yes, business as usual as I recall so as long as you are following procurement guidelines. We'll just buy from Amazon. 01:26:41 Jill Kehoe: I agree with Matt - this will cause a major disruption to operations. 01:28:59 Matt Smith/ESF/UUP/He/Him: Exactly, Susan. 01:29:21 Matt Smith/ESF/UUP/He/Him: We will sit on invoices, purchase where we can. It will only be a blip. 01:29:24 Esta Tovstiadi: EBSCO had a high level of confidence that the new contract would be in place soon, and they've done business with State of NY entities for decades. Our OGS contact has had a high level of confidence. Since this is OGS and not SUNY we don't have as much insider knowledge as we would with a SUNY contract. 01:29:52 Stephanie P Hess: Great - thanks, Esta!
