On Thursday, September 11th, there is a SkillsUSA 2026-2028 Technical Standard Revisions and Updated Format meeting.
I have no idea what this is, but the meeting is only scheduled for an hour. It is specifically for the Construction trades cluster. The purpose of the meeting may be to give direction to the committee chairs to go back to their committees and update their individual competition standards and expectations.
If that is the case, I look forward to getting our AIBD community involved.
Later in the fall, there is a Technical Committee Chairs meeting scheduled for November 5 & 6 in Phoenix, AZ.
I plan to attend, covering the travel arrangements myself.
While I'm there, I plan on hosting a happy hour-style get-together with our local members and contacts.
