Education Committee Report - 4.06
As we head into the next year for the Education Committee, I will remain acting Chairman for the upcoming year.
Over the last year, this committee had to form and figure out how best it could serve the AIBD members. It was a hard year, as none of us truly understood all that was needed, but, we managed to overcome and begin to really progress.
We were able to help figure out the line up for Myrtle Beach conference and the upcoming Asheville Conference. These have been our biggest accomplishments for this year, other than forming and actually getting things accomplished.
We have generated goals for the upcoming year that we will start working on immediately.
Goals for 2025 - 2026
1. Create more roundtable discussions to help our members. We will come up with 6 topics in our August meeting
2. Help facilitate a way to create more 1 on 1 mentoring. We will be partnering with the membership committee and the collage of fellows committee.
3. Start to provide more information on connecting with the community. Start looking at bringing on speakers who can share topics to help the chapters.
4. Create an outreach to our older members, look to see how we can best help them with things like technology, codes, etc.
5. prepare for the next generation to take the reigns. How can we teach them how AIBD works, help with training new directors, new chairpersons, etc.
6. Start working on the next conference schedule.
We have been doing a lot with just a few consistent members showing up for our meetings. We would like to see some new folks joining our committee to help.
