Invest in parents of the Teens involved in Youth Ministry personally and strive to learn from them to help them feel supported.
What You Do
- Connect relationally with parents on Sundays, making yourself available to listen and support them as much as possible.
- Bring parents into the Life of the Parish through invitations to Alpha, Growth Groups, and othe programs and events.
- Create a strategy to cue parents to have faith conversations at home - with videos, activities, and discussion guides - to position a parent as the spiritual leader.
- Connect parents to each other and the Parish - especially parents raising the same phase of kid - through connection events, online groups, and small groups.
- Host focus groups of parents every quarter - navigating topics, feedback, and conversations in an understanding and empathetic way (and then advocating for changes to your strategies to better support families.)
