Attendees: Michelle, Ken, Noah, Liz, Susan, Jen
Consortial feedback highlights that we discussed:
- primarily selective packages or local collections rather than aggregators
- possible issues with display logic for collections in NZ
- require article level linking for the journal collections that they add that are OA
- not sure we can accommodate their method of IZ/NZ usage stats
- possible methods to be tested re: NZ/IZ and acquisitions
- possible issues with proxy in the NZ vs IZ,
- possible issues with parsers handling diff authentication (Open Athens vs EZ Proxy)
- Did not think to ask about the time needed to maintain - WRLC and Cal State both
Policy document review
- It does not seem like it's easy to have campuses deactivate NZ activated packages, would need to contact SLSS
- Discussed license related work
- Possible proxy issues
- Campus buy-in - do it as an opt-out
- Discussed LSP advisory board involvement and how campuses could suggest content
- Interested user functionality would need to be investigated
Criteria document review
- We agreed was ok as is to move forward
For next week:
- Michelle will send out a draft proposal for LSP for us to review
- We should review the charge, and Michelle has a list of possible future options for us to consider
We moved pretty quickly, please let me know (or edit) if I missed something.
thanks,
Jen
