MARC is a two year research program that encourages biological research for students coming from an underrepresented background. Typically, students are paired with a designated MARC mentor who they work alongside with in an existing project. The two year research program involves students in workshops, a summer research experience, research coursework, as well as participating in local and national meetings. A few other benefits also include 60% covered tuition, monthly stipends, and funding for research and travel. https://marc-uhm.jabsom.hawaii.edu/overview/
