4.1 - Presidents Report
Hopefully everybody had a great Thansgiving and that you are able to make plans for some time off with family this month for the holidays.
I attended our Fall Design & Build Conference in Orlando last month. The hybrid event was our first and I connsidered the entire event a huge success. Attendance was low but was probably a good thing as it allowed the staff to work through their first hybrid.
Thanks to all of the staff, Steve Mickley, Garrett Mickley, Amber Thomas and Rusty Hudnet for their efforts to make this event happen. And thanks to all who attended, including board members Ben Tabolt, Kimberly Mockert, and Ted Hake.
We learned a few things and with the Conference Committee's planning, I am excited to see how we will emerge as one of the industries leaders in creating hybrid or what we may call moving forward "pairing" conferences.
Steve Mickley has been sharing with me a job description outline for a potentially new staff person handling our chapters.
Steve continues to stay engaged with our tax accountant and the errors they created by failing to file or taxes. We will update the Board as infornation becomes available.
I appreciate everybodies attendance today. It's imortant for all of us, as Board members to stay committed to attending our monthly Board meetings to provide monthly reports, submitting them before our meetings, and to communicate with the Board and share your committee goals. And to remeber to ask the Board for help if you have any concerns or are in need of assistance.
