5.01 ARDA Committee Report

The month of May showed a much slower than normal growth for the program. While will need to have a very active closing two weeks, for the first year in my tenure as Chair, I do not see this as another record breaking year. I do have some thoughts on perhaps why the numbers are lower this year, but will reserve them until after the entry period closes.

Our six judges are ready and I am looking forward to working with them and the judges to once again see the best in residential design.

As our 2026 ARDA season concludes at the end of the gala, so will my tenure as the ARDA Chair. I am extremely proud of what has happened over the last four years, and see progress and growth continuing for many more years. I am not stepping back far however. Ted Hake will be returning as Co-Chair, and we will be joined by two AIBD members, one of which is recent past judge. While this move is somewhat rare, I look forward to working with this great group of people for ARDA 2027.
