    • Important to communicate via Basecamp not separate email
  • Charge focus on plans and policies
    • Is NZ management feasible? Which ones? Complicated, easy?  What criteria to use?  Develop a checklist to use? All of SUNY subscribed?  Most?  Base level, with local campus responsible for add ons or upgrades? Open Access? NOVEL NY? SUNY Connect?
    • How will usage be tracked and shared?  Campus specific?
    • Environmental scan with other Alma consortia as time permits
      • what options do local campuses have to de-activate centrally activated collections?
    • Part of core services. No additional cost to SUNYs to use this service.
    • CDI impact?  Especially search set up? Available for search in NZ to be inherited, but this has not been as smooth as hoped. (February 2020 release should improve.)
    • Initial bullet in deliverables has been completed.
  • Determine meeting schedule
    • Weekly for 4-6 weeks? Starting Feb.18. Michelle will schedule
  • Talk about initial testing - STAT!Ref proof of concept with GCC, BCC, and Jefferson
    • Initial testing showed this is possible.  Need grass roots participation for decision making on these NZ activations and management.
  • Come up with plan to design policies for package selection: what's best for SUNY as a whole, what can SLSS manage time-wise, how do we frame recommendations?
  • Policy approval goes to SSLS.
  • Future considerations: licenses, trials, etc.
  • To-dos for next meeting?
    • Post questions and comments in Basecamp regarding your thoughts on collections and databases across all SUNYs, most, and others that may be viable for central management.  Also criteria? Questions for other consortia that Shannon can post to his contacts.
