Purpose
Homewise Health (HWH) recognises the value of flexible/work-from-home (WFH) arrangements for various purposes.
This document outlines the guidelines and process for considering WFH arrangements. Such arrangements are generally temporary unless explicitly stated in the employment contract.
Flexible working arrangements do not alter or replace industrial award conditions, flexible working hours agreements, or relevant legislation. Instead, they allow the adaptation of these conditions to suit different teams and situations.
Eligibility and Scope
This policy applies to all HWH team members. However, specific roles may not be suitable for WFH arrangements, particularly those requiring in-person care delivery at clients' homes. Similarly, support office team members who deliver care at clients' homes may prove impractical to have routine WFH days.

Work-from-Home Principles
Work-from-Home Principles
It is important to note that flexible/work-from-home arrangements are generally temporary and subject to review.
- Not all positions within HWH are eligible for WFH arrangements.
- Where WFH arrangements are practical, the team member must have completed their probation period.
- Arrangements are temporary and reviewed to meet the business needs.
- Arrangements must receive prior approval.
- The team members' home environment must have a reliable internet connection
- Business continuity is unaffected
- Team members are to communicate their defined work hours which should be mutually agreed with their manager.
- Unexpected events may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- The above can be determined at the manager's discretion
Employee Health and Well-Being
HWH is committed to employee health and well-being. Team members working from home are encouraged to maintain a comfortable and ergonomic work environment and follow guidelines for breaks and self-care.

When a team member is unwell or caring for a family member, HWH encourages using a personal day to focus on recovery rather than a WFH day.
