Staff Time Report:
At the start of the fiscal year, we introduced a new method for tracking the time of our hourly staff. A spreadsheet containing this data is shared with the President and Treasurer bi-monthly, coinciding with payroll submissions.

As of the end of the first quarter, our employees are averaging 78.09 hours per pay period (typically 11 working days), inclusive of PTO and holidays.

Currently, my role at AIBD continues to require my full-time attention. I am still refining the "Bus Mode" process, as each week demands my complete focus.

New LMS
In September, our primary goal was to launch a new Learning Management System (LMS). Previously, we relied on Podia, a platform that costs $900 per year. However, we’ve now transitioned to a WordPress plugin, which costs approximately $400 per year and offers significant advantages.

One major benefit is the streamlined experience for our members. Professional members no longer need to enter discount codes to access classes that typically cost $50. Instead, when they log into their AIBD accounts, the LMS automatically recognizes their membership status and provides free access.

Additionally, by moving away from third-party platforms, we’ve eliminated the need for members to manage multiple sets of login credentials. While they could previously set matching passwords, our goal is to create a seamless experience where members only need to log in once—directly through our website.

This new system not only saves costs but also enhances usability and accessibility for our members.

If only we could get it to work.

As Reid Hoffman, LinkedIn's co-founder, famously stated: "If you're not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you've launched too late."

By that measure, our launch this past Monday was a resounding success – we're certainly embarrassed.

Currently, five programs are available on the site, all centered around Chief Architect and presented by Joey Martin. With only a couple of weeks remaining on our Podia subscription, I am confident we will successfully resolve any initial launch challenges and migrate additional existing content before the deadline.

AIBD.org/Support
Our previous project, the AIBD support feature, is running smoothly and efficiently.

Whenever you need assistance, AIBD.org/support should be your go-to resource.

Need to update your profile? Submit a support ticket. Have an issue with your committee? Create a support ticket. Whether it’s addressing a problem, reporting something amiss, or sharing a brilliant idea, this platform is here to help.

With this system, all support tickets are trackable, manageable, and their outcomes can be evaluated effectively. Let us make it easier for you to get the support you need!

Feel free to pass this information along.
