Hub updated with June 2025 data: Explore Q2 2025 trends; HSDS at London Data Week 2025 Playback
Rachel Rodriguez📢 Announcement
The High Streets Data Hub has been updated with footfall and spend data through 30 June 2025, and you can now explore how your area performed during the second quarter of 2025.
With the latest data refresh, you can now analyse your area’s performance in the second quarter of 2025 in the Hub.Â
Â
We looked across Greenwich town centres in Q2 (April-June) 2025, in the “How are footfall and spend changing?” report. Most saw a boost in footfall compared to the same time last year, but only half recorded a rise in spend, suggesting more visitors are out enjoying this year’s sunny weather, but perhaps opting for free activities, like picnicking in Greenwich’s green spaces.

Event Impact: Chase & Status concert at the O2
North Greenwich stood out with the biggest growth in footfall this quarter – up 28% compared to Q2 2024. Zooming into the town centre’s “What are peak times for footfall and spend?” report, we found that 3 May 2025 was the busiest day in Q2 across both footfall and spend, when electronic music duo Chase & Status performed at The O2 arena.

Download To dig deeper on the impact of the event on North Greenwich, we changed the reporting period to the week of the show.Â
Hub Reporting period: Week; Calendar Dates: 28 April – 4 May 2025
Download Using the “How do day and night compare?” report, we found night time spend was up 49% compared to the previous week – likely due to showgoers dining or grabbing drinks at the O2 before and during the event, which opened doors around 6PM.

As part of the third annual London Data Week, the High Streets Data Service hosted Making Sense of High Street Data: Skills for Monthly Reporting, a half-day, in-person workshop helping HSDS members build confidence in using data for regular performance reporting.Â
Â
The day opened with a guest presentation from Nic Durston, Chief Executive, Kelly
, Senior Marketing Manager, and Emily
, Communications and Engagement Manager of South Bank BID, who shared how they’ve integrated HSDS data into their regular reporting frameworks.

Download Participants then worked in groups to explore real data from Southbank Centre’s Winter Market and discuss what patterns they could observe and interpret. In the final section of the session, attendees drafted their own performance reports using data from their local areas, using a template curated by the HSDS team. The workshop wrapped with a peer share-out and reflections on how regular reporting can be embedded into wider placemaking, communications, and strategic planning work.
