Holy Trinity Parish is a Roman Catholic community located in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia that gathers together to make and equip disciples who joyfully go and invite others to Jesus. Our vision for our parish can be broken down into three statements:
  • Explosively alive in the Holy Spirit.
  • Strengthened in community.
  • Transforming the world for Jesus.
Volunteers play an important part in our parish community, without the work of dedicated volunteers, our vision for our parish is at stake. This is why we seek skilled individuals with a heart to serve the Church to help make our vision a reality.

At Metanoia Youth Ministry we build our programming with conversion and lifelong relationship with God in mind, while growing together in community. As part of our ministry of accompaniment of teenagers, we know the need of connecting with parents as they are first and foremost the primary educators in the faith.

Beginning in October 2025, Metanoia Youth Ministry is expanding their programming to include Middle School Youth Nights in addition to our existing High School Program. This role will support both programs.

Purpose

The Parent Strategy Lead Invest in the parents of the youth in our ministry personally and strive to learn from them to help them feel supported.

The Parent Strategy Lead is not a small group leader, but the point person between parents and the youth ministry program. This person is the mover-and-shaker type, working with the Youth Ministry Coordinator to get families involved in Parish programs. They can also help to identify and invite potential adult leaders to serve with our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Connect relationally with parents on Sundays, making yourself available to listen and support them as much as possible.
  • Implement a strategic digital communication plan for parents to meet parents where they are, even if they don’t attend church every week.
  • Create strategies to help parents to have faith conversations at home, flowing into and out of Youth Ministry Opportunties.
  • Connect parents to each other and to the Parish (Through Discipleship Pathway).
  • Collect feedback from parents and bring them to the Youth Ministry Team.
