Rohl (born 12 September 1950) is an Egyptologist from the United Kingdom and former director of the Institute for the Study of Interdisciplinary Sciences (ISIS) who, since the 1980s, has put forward a number of uncommon theories leading to a change in the chronology of ancient Egypt and the history of ancient Israel, and proposed an alternative known as "New Chronology (Rohl)." Rohl currently resides in Marina Alta, Spain.
