KING SOLOMON ADVISES:

The “Sons of Seth” interpretation of Genesis 6:4 is a post-biblical doctrine that:

  • contradicts Scripture
  • denies supernatural realities
  • was promoted to erase the truth

about:

  • the Nephilim
  • fallen angels
  • the spiritual war described in the Holy Bible.

📜 THE SCRIPTURE:

“There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”—Genesis 6:4 (KJV)

The term “sons of God” (Hebrew: bene ha Elohim) always refers to angelic beings in the Old Testament (cf. Job 1:6, 2:1, 38:7).

📉 THE SONS OF SETH THEORY: A MODERN INVENTION

This view claims:

“Sons of God” = Godly lineage of Seth

“Daughters of men” = ungodly lineage of Cain

The “giants” were just powerful men, not Nephilim.

📌 Problem:

This interpretation first appeared in the 4th century A.D., taught by Julius Africanus,

and later adopted by:

  • Augustine
  • the Catholic Church
  • modern seminaries

seeking to naturalize the supernatural.

🗡️ WHY IT FAILS:

Hebrew Grammar:

“Bene ha Elohim”

is never used for humans in the Old Testament.

Historical Witnesses Reject It:

Book of Enoch (referenced in Jude 1:14-15) directly links these sons of God to fallen angels.

Jewish historians (e.g., Josephus, Philo) confirm the angelic interpretation.

Early Church Fathers - e.g.:

Doesn’t Explain the Giants:

Human union does not produce Nephilim (giants, fallen ones) with supernatural strength and stature.

The text says they were “mighty men” and “men of renown”—hybrids, not mere mortals.

New Testament Confirms the Angelic Fall:

“And the angels which kept not their first estate... even as Sodom and Gomorrha, giving themselves over to fornication...” —Jude 1:6-7 (KJV)

🧠 ORIGIN OF THE ERROR

The Sons of Seth view was born to protect the doctrine of humanism, especially after the rise of allegorical interpretation and Catholic dogma.

It removes:

  • The reality of spiritual warfare
  • The hybrid bloodlines that God judged with the flood
  • The satanic plan to corrupt human seed (Genesis 3:15)

⚠️ CONCLUSION:

The Sons of Seth theory is a manmade deflection, built to erase accountability for demonic infiltration in human history.
