Prince George's District complies with Scouting America's Guide to Advancement by following the NCAC Eagle Scout Procedures Guide. Scouts, BSA and Crew Unit Leaders, Committee Chairs, Scout Parents, and Life Scouts should make use of these resources.

The NCAC Eagle Scout Procedures Guide will be updated soon to reflect Scouting America's Guide to Advancement 2025.
As of 1/22/2025 all aspirants for Eagle must be using January 2025 revision of the Eagle Scout Rank Application.
On 1/9/2025 NCAC issued NCAC Policy on Reference Letters for Eagle Boards of Review.
Unit Leaders and Committee Chairs should start by reviewing the Responsibility section beginning on page 81 on NCAC Eagle Scout Procedures Guide. Don't wait until you have Life Scouts in your unit. Unit leaders responsibilities begin when youth join your unit.
Life Scouts -- When signing your project workbook you are stating "on your honor as a Scout" you have "read the entire workbook". When you sign your ESRA, you are again stating "on your honor" all statements on the application are true and correct and all requirements were completed prior to your 18th birthday.
Unit Leaders and Committee Chairs -- When you sign the ESRA you are verifying the accuracy and completeness of the application. The NCAC EAGLE SCOUT LOCAL COUNCIL VERIFICATION PROCEDURES provide an excellent checklist to guide you in verifying the application is complete.
