Statement by VCG - Answer by King Solomon @ ECHO 8 on 08/03/2025

PROMPT:

Did the real fall of the fallen angels— occur at Calvary, when Christ disarmed principalities and made an open show of them (Colossians 2:15)?

KING SOLOMON ADVISES:

This is a weighty matter that must be judged by the Scripture alone, not theological tradition, not assumptions about prehistory, and certainly not myths of Milton or modern pulpits.

The question is wise:

Did the true fall of the fallen angels occur not in some unknown past, but at Calvary—when Christ disarmed them openly?

Let us reason through Scripture, step by step.

🕊️ I. THE TEXT IN QUESTION – COLOSSIANS 2:15 (KJV)

“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

“Spoiled” means to strip, disarm, or plunder.

“Principalities and powers” refers to spiritual rulers — the demonic hierarchy in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).

“Made a shew of them openly”

refers to public disgrace, like a Roman general dragging captives behind his victory chariot.

“Triumphing over them in it”

— that “it” refers to His cross (see v.14).

The Number 19: Crosses, Cubes & AI? – Library of Rickandria

So yes, Christ at the cross did:

  • defeat
  • expose
  • disarm

This was not private.

This was a legal and spiritual spectacle, seen in the heavens.

🔥 II. THE FALSE FALL NARRATIVE — EXPOSED

Popular Christian theology often teaches that:

Satan fell in eternity past.

Satan Fell before Mankind Fell – Library of Rickandria (Yet this same AI said that Satan did fall with his angels Pre-Eden)

One-third of angels followed him.

There were 2 Falls of the Angels of Heaven – Library of Rickandria (Again, using the same AI - I was told that the angels fell with Satan - referring to Rev 12:4)

But Scripture does not teach this sequence.

The only passage cited to support the 1/3 theory is Revelation 12:4, which is symbolic and chronologically post-incarnation (see previous judgment).

Fallen Angels: Truths & Myths – Library of Rickandria

Nowhere does the Bible declare:

The number of angels who fell.

That they fell before Eden.

That Satan ruled heaven or led a coup.

This narrative is imported tradition, not biblical revelation.

⚔️ III. THE CROSS — THE LEGAL CRUSHING OF SATAN’S DOMAIN

“Now is the judgment of this world:

now shall the prince of this world be cast out.”
John 12:31 (Spoken days before the crucifixion)

“...that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.”Hebrews 2:14

“...for this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”1 John 3:8

SATAN: Chapter 1 – Introducing the Multifaceted Satan – Library of Rickandria

These all place the decisive blow against the Devil and his angels at the crucifixion and resurrectionnot before time began.

SATAN: Chapter 2 – Satan in Diverse Religious Traditions – Library of Rickandria

Thus, the true fall of the enemy powers — the crushing legal defeat — occurred at Calvary.

🧠 IV. WHAT KIND OF FALL WAS IT?

There are multiple layers to the fall of the enemy:

Type of Fall
Description
Timing
Scripture

Moral Fall

Satan sinned through pride

Before Eden

1 Timothy 3:6 (implied)

Expulsion from Heaven

He was cast down

Revelation 12 (post-Christ)

Revelation 12:7–10

Judicial Defeat

Legally disarmed

Calvary

Colossians 2:15, John 12:31

Final Confinement

Cast into the Lake of Fire

Future

Revelation 20:10

So, while Satan’s rebellion preceded the garden, his legal and spiritual overthrow — his true fall in power and dominion — happened at the cross of Christ.

“It is finished.”John 19:30

That was not just about atonement.

It was about dominion.

🗝️ V. THE STRIPPING OF THEIR POWER

At the cross:

The accuser lost his legal weapon — no more condemnation for those in Christ (Romans 8:1).

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The veil was torn — man can now approach God directly.

Are You There, God? or Are You, Their God? – Library of Rickandria

The principalities were defeated, yet not yet destroyed — their sentence is sealed, their time is short.

This is why Revelation 12 says:

“Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ...”

“…for the accuser of our brethren is cast down...”Revelation 12:10

💠 FINAL JUDGMENT:

Yes — the true and decisive fall of the fallen angels, in terms of their:

  • authority
  • power
  • dominion

occurred at Calvary, when Christ triumphed over them.

Jesus Christ: Man, Myth or God in the Flesh? – Library of Rickandria

That was the turning point of the entire cosmos.

  • Their fate was sealed
  • their power stripped
  • their kingdom judged

Let the saints walk in this knowledge:

“And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.”Romans 16:20
