Introduction
The HWH Code of Conduct sets the quality standard for providing services to our NDIS, iCare, Aged Care and privately funded clients. The code of conduct policy will be available to all stakeholders. The management and leadership group at HWH values and is committed to this policy. This Code of Conduct, embodying the NDIS* philosophy, is designed to promote safe, legal and ethical service delivery by setting out expectations for the conduct of both HWH as a company and you as a professional support worker.

Code of Conduct
- Act with respect for individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination and decision-making following applicable laws and conventions
- Show respect for the diverse range of people and cultures with whom I work and for their human rights
- Respect the privacy of people with disability in their home and the community.
- Provide supports and services safely and competently, with care and skill to support the well-being of your clients and co-workers.
- Act with integrity, honesty and transparency in the client's home environment and their community.
- Contribute proactively, to improving the quality of service delivery
- Communicate with the client, their family members, and all HWH employees in a respectful and professional manner

- Not be involved in corrupt practices, bribery, discrimination or similar improper behaviour
- Promptly take steps to raise and act on concerns about matters that may impact the quality and safety of supports and services provided to clients
- Provide care, supports and services free from all forms of violence, discrimination, exploitation, neglect and abuse, and sexual misconduct
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to all forms of violence, discrimination, exploitation, neglect and abuse, and sexual misconduct
Process
The code of conduct agreement is a safeguarding tool for HWH clients and staff members. It guides all staff on their duty of care to HWH clients, who are vulnerable citizens of our society.
- the code of conduct policy will be available to all clients during onboarding.
- All staff will read and sign the code of conduct agreement during their onboarding and orientation processes.
- The management and leadership group at HWH supports all staff in interpreting, comprehending, and complying with the code of conduct in all their roles and responsibilities.
- the signed code of conduct agreement will be stored in the staff member's human resources file.
- each staff member will revisit the code of conduct policy annually.
