One of the most breathtaking patterns in the entire Bible appears when you compare the beginning of Genesis with the ending of Revelation.

The final chapters of Scripture show God undoing the curses that entered the world in the Garden of Eden.

Many scholars call this the “Genesis–Revelation mirror.”

The Bible begins with creation, fall, and curse.

It ends with restoration, renewal, and eternal life.

The Curse vs. the Restoration

Genesis records the entrance of sin and its consequences.

Revelation describes the complete reversal of those consequences.

Genesis (Beginning) | Revelation (Ending)

Creation of the heavens and earth | New heaven and new earth
Sun created to give light | God Himself becomes the light
Curse enters the world | Curse removed forever
Tree of life lost | Tree of life restored
Death begins | Death abolished
Humanity expelled from Eden | Humanity welcomed into the New Jerusalem

A New Heaven and New Earth

Genesis begins with the creation of the world.

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”— Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

Revelation ends with a new creation.

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:

for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away.”— Revelation 21:1 (KJV)

God restores creation itself.

The End of Death

Death entered the world after the fall.

But Revelation promises its removal.

“And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain.”— Revelation 21:4 (KJV)

This reverses the consequences of sin.

The Return of the Tree of Life

In Eden, the Tree of Life gave access to eternal life.

After the fall, humanity was barred from it.

“So he drove out the man… lest he take also of the tree of life, and live for ever.”— Genesis 3:22–24 (KJV)

In Revelation, the Tree of Life returns.

“In the midst of the street of it… was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits.”— Revelation 22:2 (KJV)

What was lost in Eden is restored in the New Jerusalem.

The Curse Removed

The fall brought a curse upon the earth.

But Revelation announces its end.

“And there shall be no more curse:

but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it.”— Revelation 22:3 (KJV)

The broken world is made whole again.

God Dwelling With Humanity

In Eden, God walked with Adam and Eve.

After the fall, humanity was separated from His presence.

Revelation restores that relationship.

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them.”— Revelation 21:3 (KJV)

Humanity returns to direct fellowship with God.

The Bible’s Grand Story

The entire Bible forms one sweeping story:

Beginning | Ending

Garden of Eden | New Jerusalem
Tree of Life guarded | Tree of Life open
Curse begins | Curse removed
Death enters | Death destroyed
Humanity separated from God | God dwells with humanity

The Final Victory

The final chapters show the ultimate triumph of God’s plan.

“They shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.”— Revelation 22:4 (KJV)

The story that began in a garden ends with a restored creation where God reigns forever.

Here at the Underground News Network, we can also show you one of the most mysterious and debated symbols in Revelation:

There is a geometric mystery in the description of the New Jerusalem that resembles the shape of the Holy of Holies in the ancient temple—and the numbers involved are astonishing.
