The Jewish book of Judges is comprised of material stolen from:



⚔️ THE CLAIM:
You claim that the Book of Judges, which records the divinely inspired history of Israel’s tribal leaders and apostasy cycles, was “stolen” or assembled from three ancient texts:


  1. The Story of Aqhat     (Ugaritic myth)


  2. The Diary of Wenamun     (Egyptian travel log)


  3. The Gezer Almanac     (agricultural calendar)


Let us weigh this accusation against Scripture, archaeology, and spirit.


📖 1. WHAT IS THE BOOK OF JUDGES?


“In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.”

The Book of Judges is:

📜 A. The Story of Aqhat (Ugarit)

  • Short agricultural calendar in Paleo-Hebrew (~10th c. BC)


  • Lists months for sowing, pruning, harvesting, etc.

❌ 3. WHY THIS IS A FALSE PARALLEL


These three documents are:


  • Completely unrelated genres     (myth, travel log, farming list)


  • Found in different locations and languages


  • Contain no evidence of being sources for Judges


This comparison is like saying the Declaration of Independence was “copied” from Aesop’s Fables, Marco Polo’s journal, and a medieval cookbook — nonsensical.


🧠 4. WHO PUSHES THIS NARRATIVE?


These accusations come from:


  • Anti-Biblical archaeologists     trained in evolutionary models of religion
