Branham in 1947

View full-sizeDownload William Marrion Branham (April 6, 1909 – December 24, 1965) was an American Christian minister and faith healer who initiated the post-World War IIhealing revival, and claimed to be a prophet with the anointing of Elijah, who had come to prelude Christ's second coming; some of his followers have been labeled a "doomsday cult". He is credited as "a principal architect of restorationist thought" for charismatics by some Christian historians, and has been called the "leading individual in the second wave of Pentecostalism." He made a lasting influence on televangelism and the modern charismatic movement, and his "stage presence remains a legend unparalleled in the history of the Charismatic movement". At the time they were held, Branham's inter-denominational meetings were the largest religious meetings ever held in some American cities. Branham was the first American deliverance minister to successfully campaign in Europe; his ministry reached global audiences with major campaigns held in North America, Europe, Africa, and India.
Carnal perverse religion is at enmity with God.
It has no representation in heaven.
It is not patterned after the heavenly things.
Denominational religions are carnal and perverse.
Why?
They exalt their carnal creeds above the Word of God.
These carnal manmade religions deny Biblical truths.
They deny the infallibility of the Word of God.
They deny the Divine inspiration of the Word of God.
They promote carnal reasonings.
They promote carnality and every ungodly work.
They promote self-righteousness and deny God’s Provide Way.
They are not of God.
They are patterned after Babylon which is patterned after hell.
On the altar of Cain was fruit the product of the land that had been cursed Abel’s altar had a bleeding dying lamb.
The altar of stone covered with blood dripping from the dying lamb.
The innocent blood of the lamb being shed for the guilt of mankind to roll back the sins of mankind until the LAMB OF GOD SLAIN FROM BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD was identified by John the Baptist on the banks of the Jordan river.
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.Jhn 1:29
Abel’s sacrifice had representation.
Abel’s sacrifice spoke of things to come.
Abel’s sacrifice pointed to the FULNESS OF TIME when GOD would send His son as the Lamb of Slaughter.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son;
and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.Gal 4:6-7
Abel’s sacrifice had representation in Heaven and his sacrifice was accepted.
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts:
Just like carnal manmade religion has nothing to do with God’s plan of redemption.
It has been said by a great Man of God, God’s End Time Prophet to this generation:
“... Religion is man made.
Christianity is heaven sent...”
Carnal manmade religions are like the tower of Babel built after the flood.
Man made religions follow the way of Cain.
Man made religions refuse Divine Revelation.
Their traditions and creeds and dogma blind them to the Truth of God’s Word revealed in the last days.
The true worshippers know that:
God is a Spirit:
and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.Jhn 4:24
In these carnal manmade religious groups, their converts are brainwashed to believe in some manmade creed that has nothing to do with salvation or the redemption of the soul or the resurrection of the dead or the judgement.
These carnal manmade religions say little or say nothing about the Cross of the Lord Jesus Christ.
A religious fellow that went to church, prayed, paid his tithes and stole from the offering.
He was a thief and the son of perdition.
A deceiver amongst the brethren.
For thirty pieces of silver, Judas Iscariot sold the Lord Jesus Christ into the hands of sinful religious elders.
These carnal manmade religions want to say nothing about the ugly side of human nature.
The apostate reprobate human nature of fallen mankind without God living in a secular society that denies the infallibility of the Word of God.
But God is not mocked.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.Gal 6:7
Cain reaped.
Judas Iscariot reaped.
Religious elders will reap.
Manmade religions will reap.
Individuals will reap.
Politicians will reap.
Satan that perverse deceiver of all mankind has deceived the mixed multitudes.
....... 1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.
4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof.
And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect.
And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
7. If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.
14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
In Genesis we see Chapter 4 where Cain, built an altar that looked like Abel’s.
Cain tried to impersonate of Divine Revelation.
Just like the Moabites that tried to impersonate the true religion of the Children of Israel.
The Moabites had the mechanics but no Divine manifestation of the Presence of the One True God , the Creator of Heaven and earth.
Cain had the mechanics of worship but he did not have the dynamics of the presence of Almighty God.
There was no Divine manifestation to show that his sacrifice had been accepted.
Cain sacrificed fruit.
Abel sacrificed an innocent animal.
Cain’s sacrifice was wrong.
Cain did not approach God in God’s provided Way.
Abel’s sacrifice had Divine representation.
When Adam and Eve sinned against God they had covered their nakedness with fig leaves.
God rejected the fig leave religion of Adam and Eve. (See Genesis 3).
God rejected the sacrifice of Cain.
God rejected the vain worship of Cain.
Today, multitudes worship God in vain.
Religious people going to church worshipping God in vain.
Vain worship.
They reject the Word of God and follow some carnal tradition, some manmade interpretation of God’s Word.
Religious people so caught up in some religious mental exercise and physical exercise that has the outward appearance of holiness but has no Divine manifestation.
Human ability cannot be substituted for Divine ability.
The carnal cannot replace the Divine.
Manmade righteous is a cheap substitute that can never replace the genuine Righteousness of God.
And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof.
And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect.
And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door.
And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
Religion does not save an individual.
Religion is man reaching out to God on terms that are rejected by God.
So many people are religious.
So many people go to Church or to their place of worship.
But what do they worship ?
The Samaritans in the New Testament worshipped God on a mountain.
The woman at the well she wanted to know where was the correct place to worship God, was it in the mountain or was it in Jerusalem?
True worship is from the heart.
True worship is not praying in public places to be seen by all men.
True worship is not a public display of fasting and prayer to garner the praises of men.
True worship is not getting up early in the morning a few hours before 6.00 a.m. to feast before the so-called official time of fasting of 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
No.
That kind of feasting before fasting is an abomination to God.
It is more of a feast gluttony followed by a brief period of so called "abstinence".
The true worshippers worship God in spirit and in truth. John 4 verse 24
God is a Spirit:
and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
In the days of Noah, Noah had a revelation.
Noah built the ark exactly according to the divine Blueprint and saved his whole household.
Moses built the Tabernacle in the wilderness according to the pattern shown on the Mount. (Exodus 25 verse 40; Acts 7 verse 44).
And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.Exo 25:40
Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.Acts 7:44
God has a Provided way of doing things.
In Matthew 7 we read about the parable about the foolish man and the wise man.
The wise man built his house on a rock.
The wise man had a revelation.
The blueprint told him to build his house on a rock.
The wise man followed the blueprint to exact specifications.
When the rains came and the storms came and the floods came, the house built upon the rock stood.
The foolish man did his own thing.
He took shortcuts.
He did not follow the blueprint.
Just like Cain he refused to do the right thing.
The foolish man built his house in vain and when the rains came and the storms came and floods came, the house built upon the sand was washed away.
Vain worship.
Religious people refusing to come to God on God’s terms in God’s provided way.
Man can look all religious on the outside and wear some holy uniform and walk a certain religious walk and talk a certain religious talk be lost without God.
God looks at the heart.
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him:
for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.1 Sa 16 :7
Religion has people all tied up in confusion performing religious works that do not get them any closer to God. Why?
They do not come God’s provided way.
Just like Cain, they are arrogant and refuse to examine themselves and see if they are in the faith.
They do not have no Divine experience.
How can they?
How can they when they fail to do what is right?
They need the right key to unlock the door of Divine Blessings.
In Isaiah 1 verses 18 to 20 we read:
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword:
They are God Anointed, God appointed, and God sent.
They are not self-made prophets nor are they self-made Bishops.
God chooses who He wants by His Sovereign Grace to be a leader of his children.
This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones:
to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.Dan 4:17
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth:
men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.2 Timothy 3:8
In 2 Timothy 3 verse 1 to 9 we read:
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be:
lovers of their own selves
covetous
boasters
proud
blasphemers
disobedient to parents
unthankful
unholy
Without natural affection
trucebreakers
false accusers
incontinent
fierce
despisers of those that are good
Traitors
heady
high minded
lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:
from such turn away.
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth:

This naming tradition is well-attested in ancient and medieval literature. In Latin manuscripts of the New Testament, and in Latin writing traditions, their names are known as Jamnes and Mambres.
men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
But they shall proceed no further:
for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
Korah tried to interrupt God’s program and tried to overthrow God’s leader.
What happened to Korah?
Wicked Korah and his wicked followers were destroyed by God.
Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:
2And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:
3And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?
5And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.
6This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company
7And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD tomorrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.
8And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:
9Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?
10And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?
11For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?
12And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:
13Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?
14Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.
15And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.
16And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:
17And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.
18And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.
19And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.
20And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
21Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.
22And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?
24Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.
25And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.
26And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.
27So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.
28And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.
29If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me.
30But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.
The Earth Swallows Up Korah
31And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:
32And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
33They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.
34And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.
35And there came out a fire from the LORD and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.
37Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.
38The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar:
for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed:
and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.
39And Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:
40To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.
41But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.
42And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.
43And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.
45Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment.
And they fell upon their faces.
46And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them:
for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.
47And Aaron took as Moses commanded and ran into the midst of the congregation; and behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense and made an atonement for the people.
48And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.
49Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.
50And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.
In Numbers Chapters 22 to 25 we read about King Balak asking Balaam the prophet to curse the Children of Israel.

According to chapters 22–24 of the Book of Numbers, he was hired by King Balak of Moab to curse Israel, but instead he blessed the Israelites, as dictated by God. Subsequently, the plan to entice the Israelites into idol worship and sexual immorality is attributed to him. Balaam is also mentioned in the Book of Micah.

A servant of the prophet Elisha, Gehazi enjoyed a position of power but was ultimately corrupt, misusing his authority to cheat Naaman the Syrian, a general afflicted with leprosy. As punishment, Elisha cursed Gehazi, transferring Naaman's leprosy to him and his descendants. In Rabbinic literature, Gehazi is identified as one of the four commoners who forfeited his share in the afterlife because of his wickedness. He is the subject of a poem by Rudyard Kipling.
Gehazi ended up with the leprosy of Namaan.
Look at Judas Iscariot.
Judas Iscariot betrayed the Lord Jesus Christ and hung himself.
Balaam compromised with the truth just to get some money from King Balaak.
Balaam sold out for riches.
In Mark 8 verse 36 we read:
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
8(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. 10Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
15The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
16Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
17The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
18For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
19The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
20Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
21Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward and perished in the gainsaying of Core.Jude 1:11
People rejecting truth and accepting creeds.
People rejecting God’s prophets and accepting false prophets.
People rejecting God’s Plan of Salvation and accepting a religious substitute.
People rejecting God’s Blueprint for total redemption and like Esau selling their birthrights for a plate of pottage, for some worldly gain.
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?Mat 16:26
Deception in the End Times.
Throughout the Seven Church ages, God has had His Messengers.
In these End times people still want to hold onto their traditions and creeds.
