Ford Foundation Fellowship Programs The Ford Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation's higher education faculties by increasing ethnic and racial diversity as well as the professoriate who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching education for all students. Predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral fellowships are awarded annually in a national competition. Award amounts vary by program between $25,000 to $72,000 total. Application deadlines also vary by program between December 10 to December 17, 2019.

Doctor/postdoc Blueprint D-SPAN F99/K00 This two-phase award will facilitate completion of the doctoral dissertation and transition of talented graduate students to strong neuroscience research postdoctoral positions, and will provide career development opportunities relevant to their long-term career goal of becoming independent neuroscience researchers. For the F99/K00 award, individuals who are from diverse backgrounds underrepresented in neuroscience research may receive up to 6 years combined support for both phases, which includes up to 2 years in the F99 fellowship phase and up to 4 years in the K00 career development phase.

2020 Munich Brain Course Mar 13 - Apr 14, 2020 Munich, Germany More Neuroanatomy is the foundation of all neuroscience. Yet, the application of neuroanatomical knowledge in everyday clinical or scientific practice can be difficult. The brain course at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München aims at illustrating and teaching anatomical issues as viewed from various neuroscientific disciplines. The Munich Brain Course is a yearly event held every spring. Each course has several main topics, with additional presentations and hands-on dissections. The upcoming course will take place on March 13th and 14th, 2020. As a sponsor of the Munich Brain Course, the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences at LMU Munich will select up to 5 Bachelor or Master students to participate in the 2020 course. Selected students will receive an award covering travel costs and course fees. Accommodation will also be provided. Eligibility: Bachelor or Master students currently enrolled in life science or natural science degree programs outside of Germany.
